Workers' rights

The Fund ensures certain rights for workers whose employment has been terminated due to their employer's insolvency or removal from the court register. Workers are entitled to claim unpaid wages or compensation for the last three months prior to the termination of employment, compensation for unused annual leave in the current year, and severance pay.

If the employee's claim against the employer exceeds the amount paid by the Fund, the employee may continue to pursue the outstanding amount through insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings.

The request to exercise these rights must be submitted by the eligible person to the competent office of the Employment Service of the Republic of Slovenia no later than 90 days after the termination of employment.
