Continuation of the Scholarship

For uninterrupted continuation of the Zois Scholarship, the scholarship holder must submit an application for continuation of the scholarship for the following school/academic year each year, before the end of the current school/academic year.

The applicant must demonstrate:

• enrollment in a higher year (the Fund obtains the enrollment data from official records), and

• an achieved appropriate grade point average or an outstanding achievement (that has not yet been claimed).

For continuation of the Zois Scholarship in the 2025/2026 school/academic year, the scholarship holder may claim an outstanding achievement achieved during education at that level of education.

The required grade point average is at least 4.10 for secondary school students and at least 8.50 for university students.

Notice for University Students in Higher Years Submitting Proof of Study Obligations:

As proof, the educational institution must issue a certificate of all numerically expressed final grades of all successfully completed study obligations obtained in the study programme, with clearly indicated dates of completion of each obligation, namely:

• if you have completed all required study obligations of the year – submit the certificate together with the application,

• if you have not yet completed all required study obligations (which is not a condition), the certificate must be issued after 1 October and may be submitted subsequently as a supplement to the already submitted application.

From the 2024/2025 school/academic year onwards, the Zois Scholarship and the State Scholarship are compatible.

The decision on continuation of the Zois Scholarship in the next school or academic year is made:

• on the first day of the school/academic year, if the scholarship holder submits proof of meeting the conditions for continuation before the beginning of the school/academic year,

• otherwise, on the first day of the following month of the current school/academic year after submission of the application.
