Promoting the Inclusion of Employees at Risk of Losing Their Jobs – SPIN 2.0
To prevent employees from becoming unemployed, the Fund launched the project Promoting the Inclusion of Employees at Risk of Losing Their Jobs, including those in positions subject to digitalization and automation – SPIN 2.0. The project, supported by European funds, is worth seven million euros.
The project targets employees whose jobs are at risk, whether due to various changes, precarious employment, self-employment, or atypical forms of work. With the SPIN 2.0 project, valued at 7 million euros, we will encourage employees to participate in career development training and skills development training.
The project will empower employees at risk of losing their jobs with the essential knowledge and skills they need, based on their personal needs and the demands of the labor market. In this way, it will prevent unemployment and strengthen social security for employees in non-standard forms of work. Indirectly, the project is also intended to help employers gain suitably trained employees.
The target group will be included in programs aimed at remaining in the labor market and improving employability. These programs will include various forms of information, motivation, career counseling, training, or education, all tailored to labor market needs. The programs will include knowledge that strengthens digital skills, supports the green transition and circular economy, and fosters social development in general. This will facilitate easier transitions to new jobs or employment and prevent employees from becoming unemployed.
The main activity will be the announcement and implementation of a public call through which we will select partners (implementers) to carry out such education and training in the twelve statistical regions of Slovenia. In addition, we will organize an annual event to raise awareness among the target public.
